One of my favorite people, and best friends in the world was killed by the police last night. I don't know all the details, but it happened at a gas station, and the clerk said he made suggestive comments to her. Two cops happened to walk in, she told them, they took him outside and tried to handcuff him (for hitting on a girl?! Even if he was rude, how is that a handcuffable crime?). There was a struggle, and they tasered him - he hit the ground and stopped breathing. The chief of police has already made a comment that the officers did no wrong. I worked for 20 odd years in an industry that is vital to the automotive, defense, and many other industries. I worked my way up from the bottom into management. I was exposed to a chemical that probably triggered the disease that caused me to have to quit working. I am on Social Security and Medicare. I get a check that is 1/3 of what I was making.
